15th Annual Mid-Missouri Horse, Mule, & Ox Farming & Historical Crafts Days


Date: October 1 & 2,  2011
Time: 10 am to 5 pm Saturday 10 am to 3 pm Sunday

Admission: $6.00 ages 6 to adult; five and under, free.

EXHIBITORS FREE

 

Heritage crafts and old-tyme farming skills are highlighted in this 2-day family event that showcases a simpler life. Draft animal teams will be demonstrating "no gas needed" farming skills and offering wagon rides, as well as providing power for corn-grinding and sorghum pressing. Molasses cooking, spinning, weaving, natural dyeing, soap & candle making, hand tool woodworking, rope making, earthstone jewelry, wild-fiber baskets, sheepdog herding, native plant hikes, and much more. Rare livestock breeds on display, live bluegrass & mountain music. Real chuckwagon food and whole hog barbecue plus other treats!

More may be added as we get closer to the event weekend!

From St Louis take I-44 West to Hwy. 50, exit right, go about 25 miles to Gerald, right onto "Y" then follow signs.

From Jefferson City, take Hwy. 50 East to Gerald, left onto "Y" then follow signs.

From Rolla take I-44 East East to Hwy.19, North to Owensville, then Hwy.28 East to Hwy.50 East to Gerald, left onto "Y" then follow signs.
